    The music on this disc has not been much rehearsed, it is rather made of long improvisations themes based on certain melodic and rhythmic motifs embedded in and extracted from the compositions. It is therefore essentially based on confidence, listening skills and reaction to what is happening in the sound moment.
    Hence a noticeable freshness, sought after and assumed.
    Cabrioles Cérébrales et Accidents Psychotiques” is intended as an exploration of our mental and musical reflexes: many fortuitous events disturb the smooth running of the compositions with more or less damaging effects: unexpected, non-compliant interventions, agile jumps, acrobatics, frisky leaps, pirouettes, obsessed repetitions, here is what Otok explores: cervical bugs.

Elena's Circle is a composition in tribute to Elena Waclawiczek, Austrian dancer and performer. This ballad is performed 4 times in a row in different ways and with moving execution rules, based on the principle of the circle of Life (or “medicine wheel” or “circle of directions”). This "medicine wheel" is a concept common to all Indigenous peoples of North America. Declined according to different tribes, it brings together shamanic knowledge and rituals and delivers a powerful cosmological vision. This "circle of life" describes a circular path crossing four directions (cardinal points) with different symbolic and conceptual characteristics (see Diagram). Not being a specialist, this « medicine wheel » was for me a tool of work and inspiration, implemented alongside Elena Waclawiczek in our artistic explorations. Here, the composition starts North and ends up East, after a full revolution.
